“History doesn’t wait. It is created.”
And on 7th February 2026, at NIFTEM-K — we created it.
After 16 months of relentless work, endless meetings, proposal drafts, redesigns, approvals, uncertainty, stress, and belief stronger than fear…
TEDxNIFTEM finally came alive.
The lights turned on.
The red circle stood at the center of the stage.
The audience settled into silence.
And in that one moment, everything felt worth it.
Not because it was perfect.
But because it was real.
As the Student Secretary of Geetanjali – The Literary Society of NIFTEM-K and the Organizer of TEDxNIFTEM, this was never just another college event for me.
It became a responsibility I carried every single day.
People often see the final photographs — the stage, the speakers, the applause, the spotlight.
But very few see what exists behind those moments.
The sleepless nights.
The unanswered emails.
The approvals that took months.
The moments where plans collapsed a day before execution.
The times when motivation disappeared but responsibility remained.
There were days when the vision felt too ambitious for a student team.
Days when doubt entered quietly and stayed longer than confidence.
But somewhere in between all the chaos, our team learned something important:
Leadership is not about standing on the stage when the lights are on.
It is about standing beside your team when the lights do not even exist yet.
And that is what TEDxNIFTEM truly became for us.
Not an event.
A test of resilience.
Every volunteer, every designer, every coordinator, every person handling backstage chaos or fixing last-minute technical issues — they all became part of something larger than themselves.
We were not just organizing talks.
We were building a culture.
A culture where students dared to dream beyond limitations.
A culture where ideas were taken seriously.
A culture where people believed that even at our campus, something globally recognized could be built from scratch.
I still remember walking into the venue before everything began.
The stage was ready.
The TEDx logo stood proudly in front of us.
For a few seconds, everything became silent.
And honestly, it did not feel like success.
It felt emotional.
Because I remembered where it all started — a simple idea, a conversation, a vision nobody could fully see yet.
That day taught me something I will carry for the rest of my life:
Big things are rarely built by certainty.
They are built by people who continue despite uncertainty.
TEDxNIFTEM was not created in one day.
It was created in hundreds of unseen moments where people chose not to quit.
To our mentors, faculty members, institutional leaders, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and every attendee who believed in us — thank you.
Your trust gave us strength during moments when things felt impossible.
And to my team —
Thank you for proving that passion combined with persistence can truly create history.
Because years from now, people may remember TEDxNIFTEM as an event.
But for us…
It will always be remembered as a dream that refused to give up.
yours
